Hello and welcome! This blog was created as a record of our family travels, with a focus on vegan/plant based food options.
Our first trip for this blog was to Japan from October 14th to November 11th 2019. For this trip it was myself (vegan) and my eleven year old daughter (vegetarian, with some food sensitivities but not allergies).
We started in Tokyo for eight nights, before traveling through Tohoku for ten days. Our Tohoku trip included two farmstays in Akita prefecture, a boat ride at the beautiful Geibikei gorge, the history of the Aizu region, and beautiful Nikko before heading back to Tokyo. We also visited Kawaguchiko, Tokyo Disney and DisneySea.
I have each day of what we did outlined, with photos, so you can start at Day 1 and work your way through. I advise you do that, as the post have all been published at once and not in a specific order.

Although this blog has a vegan focus, if you’re not vegan or vegetarian you can still hopefully get some ideas from our itinerary, especially when it comes to travel with kids and outside of the main holiday spots of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka (we’re keeping Kyoto and Osaka for a future trip).
